Our Story

THE PASSION FOR CYCLING
Timperley Boneshakers started in 2009 as 7 friends with a mutual passion for cycling. Now, boasting a team of 35 dedicated riders between the ages of 22 to 67, we meet three times a week and embark on rides to suit all abilities.
We decided to turn our pastime in to a means of charity fundraising, and as such, have completed many cycling challenges, raising over £185,000 for a variety of causes.
"The Captain" & Founder the Honourable Freeman Burgess of Altrincham Ian Elliott, coordinates the weekly rides and club events throughout the year. Just get in touch if you would like to join us for a ride.
Charity Challenge 2020
RAISING MONEY FOR
Children's Adventure Farm Trust
On the 26th & 27th of September 2020, we will be embarking upon a charity to ride to raise funds for The Children's Adventure Farm Trust which provides holiday and respite break activities for disabled, ill and disadvantaged children from all over the North West. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ian-elliott13
We will be setting off from Timperley Methodist Church, and cycling through Lancashire into the Yorkshire hills then on to Morecambe where we will be stopping over night.
On the Sunday we will cycle back to Timperley. The journey is a 200 mile round trip.
We hope you can offer some support!
